This policy explains what information ACT Security Services LLC ("ACT", "we") collects through alarmtech.com, our customer portal (my.alarmtech.com) and our text messages, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, address, phone number, email and details about your building or system when you fill in a form, request service, create a portal account, sign an agreement or call us.
- Account and service records: the systems we install and service, visit reports, inspection reports, invoices and payments.
- Payment information: card and bank payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Website use: pages viewed and how you found our site, using a first-party cookie. We do not store your IP address with this information.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and provide quotes, installation, monitoring, inspections and service
- To schedule visits and send confirmations, reminders and reports by email or, if you agreed, by text
- To bill you and keep required records (for example, fire alarm inspection reports for your local fire official)
- To keep our website and portal secure and working well
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us provide our services, and only as needed: our central monitoring station, payment processor, email and text-message providers, and equipment platforms you use with us. We also share inspection information with your local fire official (AHJ) when the law requires it, or information when otherwise required by law.
Text messages
If you agree to receive texts from us, we use your mobile number only to send the service texts described in our text message terms. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time.
Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access limited to ACT staff who need it, and two-factor sign-in for staff accounts.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information, or stop emails or texts at any time, by calling 877-772-0061 or emailing info@alarmtech.com. Some records (such as fire inspection reports and invoices) must be kept for a period required by law.
