Frequently asked questions
Do I need a care plan?
No. A care plan is optional. It makes sense if you want your system checked every year, want to be first in line when something breaks, and would rather pay a small monthly amount than a big surprise repair bill.
Can I get a plan if ACT didn't install my system?
Yes. We take over systems installed by other companies. We'll look at your system first, and if anything needs fixing we'll tell you before the plan starts.
What does a plan not cover?
Plans don't cover damage (lightning, water, accidents), new equipment or upgrades, and, unless your plan says so, replacement parts. We always tell you the price before we do any extra work.
Is there a long contract?
Plans renew month to month after the first year. Ask us about the details for your building when we call.
Is a care plan the same as a fire alarm inspection?
No. Fire alarm inspections required by your fire official are a separate service with a written report. Many customers combine the two — ask us when we call.
